Postponement Details
Like the majority of June races and based on current health expert analysis and restrictions on events, we are postponing the Michigan Adventure Race: Cannonsburg scheduled for June 13 to Saturday, August 15, pending executive order and other permits. Based on survey results of registered races and those who plan to do the race, this is the clear preferred date over the previous Sunday. Nothing in the fall is currently available. If you are already registered and August 15 works, you don’t need to do anything (except keep hitting the trails safely!).
If you can’t make this date, email me and I will provide your team a full credit of your entry fee minus a $10 administrative fee per person (and minus BikeReg fees which we do not collect). Note that our official policy has always been “no refunds, no credits” to protect the financial health of the race but due to these unusual circumstances, we are allowing the nearly full credit. This credit can be used for any Michigan Adventure Race (ArtPrize, Winter, Ludington, or likely race next fall), Coast to Coast Gravel Grinder or Lord of the Springs this year or next, ending on Dec. 31, 2021.
- If you’re not sure whether your team can race, you can stay registered and decide by June 15 to get the full credit minus $10.
- If one or more teammates can still race, email me who is out and who is in and I’ll make the adjustments.
- In cases of financial hardship, contact us.
If we are unable to hold the event on August 15, the race will likely be cancelled (but with the possibility of shifting one last time onto the 9/26 or 10/3 ArtPrize Edition date if the ArtPrize festival/competition is a no go). If you stuck with the race past June 15 and the August 15 race is cancelled, we would then issue you a full credit minus the BikeReg fees which we don’t collect. If the race is held but you can’t make it, you will not receive the full credit (we may give a partial credit but it’s at our discretion).
Cash refunds are not available due to significant costs we must pay in advance of the race (e.g., insurance, permits, vendor deposits, advertising, graphic design, etc.) along with hundreds of hours of planning.
