Michigan Adventure Racing events including the Michigan Adventure Race, Lord of the Springs bike race, Hurt the Dirt trail races and Dirty Duel trail race offer some of the most affordable sponsorship packages of any medium-scale event in West Michigan. And with a 98+% satisfaction rate achieved at every race (35 as of 2016) since 2011, you will be part of a fun, positive event that is good for West Michigan – its athletes, recreational enthusiasts, and charity partners.

Here’s what people are saying about Michigan Adventure Racing events:

  • “Very well organized! Awesome energy. Very reasonably priced. It was an awesome time!”
  • “Thanks to you and your team my daughter and I made memories together that we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives–and that’s no exaggeration.”
  • “The perfect race; the kind that I have been looking for for a long time.”

Your sponsorship will contribute to improving the overall lifestyle, culture and physical health of our West Michigan community and promote the many recreational spaces and activities here and throughout Michigan. Sponsorship will also allow for more race fees to go toward local charities. Some races are covered by the major local TV networks, MLive, local newspapers and several radio stations, covering a market of approximately two million people.

Past or current sponsors include some of the strongest brands around including Gazelle Sports, Spectrum Health, Qdoba, Red Bull, Founders Brewing Co., Bill & Paul’s Sporthaus, West Michigan Bike & Fitness, Moosejaw,EcoTrek Bars & Fitness, Saucony, Merrell, Salomon, Patagonia Footwear, The North Face, New Balance, The Gilmore Collection, Clif Bar, Hudsonville Ice Cream, and many others.

Note that race organizers have a right to determine if gear or gift certificates qualify as “cash replacement” value; in other words, they generally will be outdoor gear or gift certificates that can be used as top finisher prizes.

Other

Booth Sponsor
$125-$150. Booth sponsors are given a 10×10 space at the start/finish as a great way to interact in person with racers and spectators (and with thousands of ArtPrize attendees at that race). A raffle or product samples is a good way to get racers to your booth. For chiropractors and physical therapists, a post-race massage is effective.

Challenge Sponsor
Sponsors at any level may also sponsor one or more Amazing Race-type challenge for $100-$200 each. The fee for this will vary by the amount of promotion and involvement of the sponsor (e.g., providing volunteers will reduce the fee). Organizations can generally go crazy with this, creating a cheering section, ringing cow bells, putting up banners.

Product Sponsor
Company mention and product given out at awards ceremony/raffle
Thank you via Facebook and your page tagged

Companies interested in giving away product will receive exposure to hundreds of athletes, many of whom are just entering competitive sports and/or adventure racing and are either adding new or upgrading gear. Sponsorship benefits will be agreed upon between company and race organizers based on value but will at least include company logo on the race website and mention at the awards ceremony.
